We are now looking to expand our team with a reliable, honest, and hardworking individual to take on the role of Driver/Cleaner at our Port Elizabeth branch.
Position Overview
The Driver/Cleaner will play a key role in the daily operations of our Port Elizabeth branch. This position supports the team by ensuring that vehicles and parts are delivered and collected on time, and that vehicles are cleaned and quality-checked before and after service. The ideal candidate will be someone who is customer-focused, self-driven, and takes pride in their work.
The purpose of this role is to ensure smooth operational support while maintaining a high level of service delivery to both internal teams and external customers. You will be expected to adhere to company policies, safeguard company and customer property, and represent the Motus brand in a professional manner.
Minimum Requirements
- Education:
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent school-leaving certificate
- Driving License:
- Valid, unendorsed Code 08 driver’s license (essential)
- Must have own reliable transport
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant driving or logistical experience, preferably in the automotive sector
- Technical Skills:
- Basic computer literacy (email, basic data entry, etc.)
- Language Proficiency:
- Must be fully bilingual
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written)
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport customer and company vehicles between different locations
- Collect and deliver parts and vehicles to and from suppliers or customers as required
- Perform quality control checks on vehicles post-service or repair
- Clean vehicles before delivery to customers, ensuring they meet quality standards
- Assist the admin team by moving vehicles and scanning documentation
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations at all times
- Maintain a professional image and ensure excellent face-to-face interaction with customers
- Handle company assets and customer vehicles with care and respect
- Follow internal procedures for vehicle delivery and collection
- Take on other operational support tasks as requested by management
