About the Role:
Siqalo Foods, a proudly South African company within the RCL FOODS group, is looking for a detail-oriented and process-driven Data Capture Clerk to join their Operations Team in Boksburg. Reporting directly to the Production Shift Manager, this permanent role is crucial in maintaining the accuracy and reliability of finished goods data within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Purpose of the Role:
To ensure the accurate recording of finished goods using both automated back-flushing systems and manual scanning processes. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring product traceability, accurate inventory recording, and production efficiency by adhering to strict quality and operational controls.
✅ Minimum Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered:
- Matric / Grade 12 qualification
- Valid Forklift Driver’s License
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- 2+ years of experience working on Shopware
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking
- Familiarity with the SmartTech system
- Proven ability to manage and monitor finished goods stock
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
The role of the Data Capture Clerk involves a wide range of operational and administrative tasks to support production efficiency and compliance. Key responsibilities include:
Production & Data Capture:
- Record Plan vs Actual output and provide feedback to Shift Production Managers (S/L and OR).
- Capture production final goods data using the SmartTech system.
- Record waste figures at the end of each shift for reporting and continuous improvement.
Inventory & Stock Movement:
- Drive accurate movement and system transfer of packaging materials via SRVs after every production run.
- Create stock to balance SRVs and manage write-ons and write-offs of packaging materials and finished goods.
- Generate M1 and M4 tags for stock recording on respective shifts.
- Perform cycle counts of packaging material and coordinate stock counts with production managers.
- Ensure proper stock rotation from End of Run cupboards.
Order & System Adjustments:
- Perform system adjustments based on COGI entries.
- Check and correct storage locations (S/LOC) for packaging materials and finished goods.
- Generate pull list requirements for all material needs on each shift.
Re-work & Quality Control:
- Coordinate the re-work of problem stock and maintain the quality quarantine area.
- Ensure removal of non-conforming materials from designated areas (e.g. wall conveyor hall).
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain and hand over all WCM morale documentation (e.g. 5Y’s, OPL, CI’s, EWO) to the WCM department at shift end.
- Track and trace products as needed on an ad hoc basis.
- Maintain PAMCO sheet recording on a daily basis.
⚙️ Equipment & Labelling:
- Be capable of changing SU’s labeller reels and ribbons when needed.
- Monitor and maintain the integrity of label scanning processes and use manual scanning as a backup.
