Job Overview

Totalsports, part of the TFG (The Foschini Group) retail portfolio, is currently recruiting a motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate (120-hour) to join its team at the Mtubatuba store in KwaZulu-Natal. As a Sales Associate, you will serve as a brand ambassador for Totalsports, delivering excellent customer experiences while contributing to store sales targets. Purpose of the Role

The primary purpose of the Sales Associate position is to create a positive and engaging in-store experience for customers. This includes understanding customer needs, providing product advice, and supporting the overall performance of the store. The successful candidate will actively participate in driving sales, maintaining store standards, and building long-term customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

The Sales Associate will be responsible for a variety of duties that support both customer satisfaction and store performance, including:

  • Acting as an ambassador for the Totalsports brand by delivering a professional and welcoming customer experience
  • Engaging with customers to understand their needs and recommending suitable products and solutions
  • Consistently working towards achieving and exceeding individual and store sales targets
  • Monitoring personal sales performance and taking proactive steps to improve results
  • Selling a diverse range of sportswear, footwear, and accessories while staying informed about current trends and product updates
  • Identifying opportunities to generate additional sales through effective product knowledge and customer engagement
  • Assisting with stock replenishment to ensure the store is well-prepared and visually appealing at all times
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, merchandising, and store presentation
  • Supporting team members and contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Adhering to company policies, procedures, and operational standards
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
  • Grade 12 (Matric) qualification is required
  • Previous retail or sales experience will be advantageous, but is not essential
  • An interest in sports, fitness, or an active lifestyle is beneficial
