Job Overview

Dunns, a well-established retail brand in South Africa, is currently seeking a dedicated and customer-focused P27 General Assistant to join its team at the Thaba’Nchu 310 store in the Free State. This permanent position is ideal for an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment and is passionate about delivering excellent customer service while supporting store operations.

The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring that the store operates efficiently on a daily basis. Key Purpose of the Role

The main purpose of the P27 General Assistant position is to provide superior customer service while contributing to the achievement of sales and turnover targets. Key Responsibilities

As a P27 General Assistant, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assisting customers in a friendly, professional, and helpful manner to ensure a positive shopping experience
  • Actively contributing to the achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets
  • Ensuring that merchandise is correctly displayed according to store and departmental layout guidelines
  • Supporting effective stock replenishment to ensure shelves are well-stocked at all times
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping within the store, including sales floors and stock rooms
  • Protecting all company assets, including stock, cash, physical property, staff, and customers
  • Following all company policies and procedures to ensure compliance and operational efficiency
  • Assisting with correct administrative procedures related to stock control, lay-bys, and mark-downs
  • Supporting management with general store duties and operational requirements
  • Working cooperatively with team members to achieve store objectives
Minimum Qualifications
  • Matric / Grade 12 qualification is required
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Previous experience in a sales or retail environment will be advantageous
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to engage positively with customers
