Organisation Overview
AQUITY Innovations NPC is a non-profit organisation appointed by the National Department of Health as one of the Global Fund TB Sub-Recipients (SRs) in South Africa. The organisation supports the implementation of tuberculosis (TB) programme activities in selected provinces, working closely with government health structures and community stakeholders.
The current Global Fund TB programme operates in Mpumalanga (Ehlanzeni District) and the Eastern Cape (Buffalo City Metro and Amathole District). Head office functions are based in Pretoria, while programme staff are deployed within project implementation areas.
Vacancy Overview
AQUITY Innovations NPC is seeking to appoint two (2) Data Capturer / Driver positions to support Mobile and Movable Digital Chest X-Ray (DCXR) Units in the Eastern Cape (Buffalo City Metro).
This role combines data capturing, reporting, administrative support, and driving duties to ensure accurate collection of TB screening data and effective community outreach operations.
The successful candidates will work within community and facility-based environments and will be required to travel as part of programme activities.
Key Responsibilities
The Data Capturer / Driver will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
- Capture, record, and report all data collected from TB screening activities conducted in communities and health facilities
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly data reports in line with programme requirements
- Collect, verify, and clean data on a monthly and quarterly basis to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Provide system-generated data and compile reports outlining achievements, challenges, and trends for facilities and sub-district or district structures
- Perform filing, record-keeping, and general administrative duties
- Set up and prepare equipment and materials for daily outreach and screening activities
- Drive programme vehicles for community outreach, screening, and mobilisation activities
- Prepare vehicles for daily use and maintain accurate and up-to-date vehicle logbooks
- Conduct social mobilisation activities to support demand creation for TB screening services
- Comply with organisational policies, health and safety requirements, and data confidentiality standards
- Perform additional ad-hoc duties as required by programme management
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate)
- Valid South African driver’s licence (Code 10)
- Valid Professional Driver Permit (PDP)
Experience Requirements
- At least two (2) years’ experience in data capturing and reporting
- At least two (2) years’ experience as a driver
- Experience in recording and reporting TB and HIV data
- Knowledge of capturing data on health monitoring and evaluation systems such as TIER.Net and/or DHIS will be an advantage
- Experience working with Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Demonstrated ability in effective data management and reporting
