About the Learnership

The Systems Development NQF Level 4 Learnership is designed for individuals who want to build foundational technical skills in programming, systems design, and software development processes.

Learners will receive structured classroom instruction combined with supervised workplace experience. By the end of the programme, participants will be equipped with practical knowledge to contribute to software projects, IT departments, or technology-based companies.

Minimum Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this opportunity, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a Matric (Grade 12) certificate with Mathematics and English (essential)
  • Be unemployed at the time of application
  • Be a South African citizen aged between 19 and 29 years old
  • Reside near Randburg or be able to attend on-campus sessions in Ferndale
  • Not currently enrolled in another SETA-funded learnership or internship programme

Qualification Earned

Upon successful completion of the programme, learners will receive a National Certificate in Systems Development (NQF Level 4) — a recognized qualification accredited by MICT SETA.
