Current Vacancies
The following positions are currently open at various Sun International establishments.
1. Cleaner
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in guest rooms, lobbies, corridors, and public areas.
- Replenish cleaning materials and amenities.
- Handle linen, waste disposal, and equipment safely.
- Follow housekeeping and safety protocols at all times.
- Report maintenance faults or guest requests promptly.
Requirements:
- Minimum of Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.
- Prior experience in housekeeping or general cleaning is advantageous.
- Physically fit and able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to hygiene excellence.
2. Cook
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals in line with Sun International standards and menus.
- Maintain high food quality, presentation, and safety standards.
- Manage stock levels and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
- Support senior chefs and assist during peak service periods or special events.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 and a Certificate or Diploma in Food Preparation or Culinary Arts preferred.
- At least one year of experience in a professional kitchen.
- Understanding of HACCP and kitchen safety standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Team-oriented attitude with creativity and passion for food.
3. Hotel Supervisor
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations within hotel departments such as front office, housekeeping, or food and beverage.
- Manage staff schedules, training, and performance.
- Ensure service standards and guest satisfaction are consistently achieved.
- Resolve guest queries and coordinate with other departments for seamless service delivery.
- Monitor safety, cleanliness, and compliance standards.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 and a Hospitality Management Qualification preferred.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of supervisory experience in hotel operations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Availability to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Knowledge of hotel systems and front-office procedures an advantage.
4. Cashier
Key Responsibilities:
- Process guest payments, handle cash, credit card, and voucher transactions accurately.
- Balance tills and maintain accurate financial records.
- Provide professional customer service at outlets or casino cash desks.
- Comply with Sun International’s financial controls and cash-handling policies.
Requirements:
- Matric Certificate with strong numeracy and communication skills.
- Prior experience as a cashier or point-of-sale operator preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and customer service focus.
- Honest, reliable, and able to work in a busy hospitality or gaming environment.
5. Tables Dealer ×6 (Casino Department)
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate casino table games such as Blackjack, Roulette, and Poker.
- Provide excellent service to guests while maintaining professionalism and compliance with gaming regulations.
- Manage chips, bets, and payouts accurately.
- Observe players to ensure fair play and report irregular activities.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 certificate required.
- Previous experience as a Casino Dealer is advantageous, but training may be provided.
- Good mathematical ability, customer service orientation, and alertness.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Integrity, professionalism, and focus on delivering entertainment responsibly.
