The South African Department of Defence (DoD) is inviting applications from suitably qualified South African citizens for Provisioning Administration Clerk: Production (61 posts) and Administration Clerk: Production (35 posts) positions across various units nationwide. These vacancies provide an excellent opportunity for individuals with a Grade 12 certificate (NQF Level 4) to begin a career in the public service. No prior experience is required, although training in asset management, codification, or procurement will be an added advantage.

Requirements

Duties
- Provide provisioning administration services to support operational requirements
- Determine stock needs and meet specific supply demands
- Exercise documentary control over goods, equipment, materials, facilities, and services
- Receive, distribute, preserve, and repack stock for safe storage
- Issue and finalize vouchers, prepare and print receipt vouchers
- Handle routine inquiries and register demands on stock sub-accounts
- Control stock items in warehouses to prevent losses
- Maintain accurate registers, charts, and record books
- Initiate replenishment when necessary
- Maintain neat and orderly stores, update directives, acts, regulations, and manuals
- Handle correspondence and records of autonomous activities
- Perform basic calculations, compile statistics, and draft letters, notices, memoranda, and submissions
- Support internal services, accounting, transport, and depot administration

- Allocate document IDs, control revision levels, and maintain computer file references
- Load data onto the logistics database from data-capturing forms
- Administer document release and destruction processes for classified information
- Maintain filing systems and track document distribution
- Support audits and verify records to ensure accountability
- Monitor all document movements and maintain security protocols
- Promote operational effectiveness by maintaining accurate, secure, and accessible records
