Position Overview
The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation across designated client areas. The role plays a key part in ensuring that Tsebo’s service delivery meets or exceeds site-specific Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Successful candidates will work within Tsebo’s professional cleaning teams to provide safe, hygienic, and welcoming environments for clients, visitors, and staff.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify and act on cleaning opportunities in addition to daily assigned tasks.
- Perform general cleaning duties across designated areas, including offices, wards, corridors, public areas, and washrooms.
- Complete all cleaning tasks within specified timeframes and quality standards.
- Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently, including buffing machines (where applicable).
- Follow site-specific hygiene and safety standards as prescribed by Tsebo.
- Maintain and promote positive customer and client relationships through professionalism and courtesy.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and cleaning schedules.
- Report any maintenance issues, hazards, or cleaning supply shortages promptly to the line manager.
- Uphold Tsebo’s reputation for excellence by maintaining a neat personal appearance and demonstrating a positive work attitude.
This position requires energy, reliability, and attention to detail to ensure that all assigned areas are maintained to the highest possible standard.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum Grade 12 or Grade 11 with relevant work experience.
- Prior experience working as a Cleaner in a commercial, industrial, or healthcare environment is advantageous.
- Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and safe equipment handling.
- Experience operating a buffing machine or managing cleaning equipment will be a plus.
- Willingness to learn quickly and follow site-specific cleaning protocols.
