Position Overview:
The Waitron role is focused on delivering exceptional guest experiences through friendly, efficient, and professional service. The successful candidate will be energetic, service-driven, and passionate about hospitality. This position plays a key role in ensuring guests enjoy a memorable dining experience from arrival to departure.


Role Purpose:

  • Provide outstanding dining service to guests through attentiveness and professionalism.

  • Use product knowledge and service skills to create a memorable hospitality experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Service:
  • Welcome and seat guests promptly with a friendly attitude.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of the menu and make suitable recommendations.
  • Handle special requests and dietary needs professionally.
  • Ensure timely and accurate service delivery.
  • Recommend additional or complementary items to enhance the guest experience.
  • Maintain awareness of allergens and dietary restrictions.
  • Continuously monitor guest satisfaction and respond to feedback.

Operational Excellence:

  • Accurately use the Simphony system for order processing.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff.
  • Ensure food quality and presentation meet standards before serving.
  • Keep workstations clean, organized, and fully prepared.
  • Follow proper service procedures and sequences.
  • Process customer payments correctly and efficiently.
  • Maintain proper table settings at all times.

Financial Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate billing and order recording.
  • Handle payments securely and responsibly.
  • Capture correct guest counts (covers) using the system.
  • Assist with stock control and inventory counts.
  • Follow stock ordering and requisition procedures.
  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages or discrepancies.

Food & Beverage Knowledge:

  • Maintain a strong understanding of the menu and daily specials.
  • Be knowledgeable about food preparation methods.
  • Understand wine pairings and beverage options.
  • Stay informed about unavailable items.
  • Be aware of dietary requirements, allergies, and restrictions.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
