Position Overview

Premier FMCG is currently seeking a General Worker Picker to join its warehouse team at the Meadowview Depot in Lords View, Gauteng. This role is well suited to individuals who are reliable, target driven, and able to perform accurately in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that products are picked correctly according to picking slips, staged in designated checking lanes, and sealed or wrapped once checked. Attention to detail, adherence to standard operating procedures, and compliance with health and safety requirements are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

As a General Worker Picker, your duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Picking products accurately in accordance with picking slips and instructions
  • Ensuring that picked stock is correctly staged in the assigned checking lanes
  • Sealing or wrapping products once they have been checked and approved
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area in line with housekeeping standards
  • Following all standard operating procedures and warehouse policies
  • Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
  • Working collaboratively with team members to meet daily targets and operational requirements
  • Handling stock responsibly to prevent damage, loss, or discrepancies

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • A completed Matric Certificate (Grade 12)
  • 1–2 years’ experience working in a warehouse or similar environment

Previous experience within an FMCG warehouse will be advantageous, but not essential, provided the candidate meets the basic experience requirements and demonstrates the ability to perform the role effectively.

  • Physically capable of performing general warehouse duties
