About the Role
Tiger Brands is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Capturer to join our operations team in Mobeni. This role is essential in supporting the smooth functioning of the business by ensuring that data, files, and records are captured and maintained accurately. You will work closely with various departments to ensure information is processed efficiently and in compliance with company standards and data protection regulations.
This position requires someone who enjoys working with data, is comfortable using computer systems and software, and can maintain a high level of accuracy under pressure. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and takes pride in maintaining efficient and reliable data systems.
Key Responsibilities
As a Data Capturer, your responsibilities will include:
- Data Entry and Maintenance: Capture, verify, and update information accurately within company databases and information systems.
- Document Management: Ensure all files, records, and documents are properly organized, stored, and accessible to relevant team members.
- System Accuracy: Regularly review entries for completeness and accuracy to minimize errors and maintain data integrity.
- Administrative Support: Provide general administrative assistance to departments, including filing, record-keeping, and communication tasks.
- Customer and Internal Support: Communicate with internal departments and, when necessary, with customers or suppliers via email, telephone, or face-to-face interactions to ensure smooth information flow.
- Compliance: Ensure all data handling practices follow company policies and relevant data protection regulations.
- Software Use: Utilize Microsoft Office, data capture tools, and business software effectively and efficiently.
Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Familiarity with database systems or data entry software.
- Soft Skills:
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Professional demeanor and customer service orientation.
