1️⃣ Admin Officer: Immovable Asset Register (X10 Posts)

Salary and Contract Details

Successful candidates will receive a salary of R325,101 per annum, on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must hold at least a three-year tertiary qualification (NQF Level 6) in Property Management, Real Estate, Town and Regional Planning, Accounting, or Commerce.
Alternatively, a qualification with major subjects in Property Law, Asset Management, or Accounting will be accepted.
Relevant work experience in property administration, accounting, or asset register management is required, while experience in state land administration and verification of immovable assets will be considered an advantage.
Candidates must have a valid driver’s license, good computer literacy, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to perform under pressure.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The Admin Officer will provide administrative support to the Deputy Director: Immovable Asset Register. Daily responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring and supporting the implementation of IAR projects.
  • Conducting and overseeing physical verification of government-owned land and buildings.
  • Ensuring that all property improvements are captured in the asset register.
  • Assisting with vesting and title deed endorsement of state properties.
  • Collecting and verifying property information from the Deeds Office, Surveyor-General, and Municipalities.
  • Performing any other administrative or project-related duties as assigned.

Salary and Contract Details

The annual salary for this position is R228,321, also on a 12-month contract.

Minimum Requirements

Candidates must have a Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification and a valid driver’s license.
Basic numeracy, computer literacy, and report-writing abilities are essential. Good organizational and interpersonal skills are also important, as the role involves working closely with technical and administrative teams.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Administrative Clerks will assist with the physical verification of NDPWI assets, including land parcels and buildings. Key tasks include:

  • Supporting Assistant and Deputy Directors during physical verification exercises.
  • Conducting desktop planning and confirming ownership of land parcels.
  • Checking GIS spatial data and ensuring data accuracy in the IAR.
  • Reviewing and approving regional transactions captured through mobile applications.
  • Performing deeds searches and property data verifications.
  • Assisting other units with accurate property information and documentation.
