Purpose of the Role

The Sales Consultant will serve as a key ambassador for the brand, providing professional, efficient, and customer-oriented service. The main purpose of the role is to ensure that customer queries, requests, and concerns are handled effectively and promptly, in line with Service Centre Service Level Agreements (SLAs). The position also focuses on achieving sales targets, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the store operates smoothly and professionally.


️ Main Responsibilities
1. Customer Service and Sales
  • Welcome all clients in a warm, professional, and courteous manner.
  • Ensure the store environment promotes sales and exceptional service delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with customers to encourage loyalty and repeat business.
  • Process all orders, applications, and forms accurately and promptly.
  • Keep an organized audit trail of customer interactions and maintain accessible transaction records.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve issues efficiently and deliver consistent customer satisfaction.
  • Uphold Cell C’s professional image in every customer interaction.
2. Complaint Resolution
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints effectively by identifying issues and providing suitable solutions.
  • Ensure customer verifications are conducted regularly and discrepancies are reported immediately.
  • Follow through on customer complaints to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Cell C products and services to offer accurate, informed assistance.
  • Support team members by sharing knowledge, offering guidance, and fostering a positive, cooperative team environment.
3. Stock and Sales Management
  • Submit weekly stock forecasts and ensure compliance with agreed time frames.
  • Capture and process daily sales orders accurately to maintain balanced cash flow.
  • Check and reconcile cash-ups daily, ensuring there are no variances or discrepancies.
  • Ensure that all transactions are processed and balanced correctly by the end of each day.
4. Financial and Administrative Support
  • File and manage all documents with 100% accuracy, ensuring easy access for audits and compliance checks.
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly performance reports to management.
  • Provide any ad-hoc reports as requested by supervisors or management.
5. Health, Safety, and Compliance
  • Adhere to Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) policies and regulations at all times.
  • Report any potential risks, incidents, or safety concerns to management immediately.
  • Attend safety and environmental workshops as required by management.
  • Contribute to maintaining a compliant, safe, and healthy work environment for all staff and customers.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Matric (Grade 12) is required.
  • NQF Level 5 Certificate or equivalent, including relevant internal workshops or online training in Customer Service or Sales.

This qualification demonstrates the candidate’s understanding of retail and customer engagement best practices, as well as their readiness to perform in a fast-paced telecommunications environment.


Experience Requirements
  • 6 to 24 months of experience in a sales, retail, or service environment.
  • Knowledge of ICT products and services will be advantageous.
  • Proven ability to drive sales performance and exceed targets.
  • Familiarity with relevant computer applications and point-of-sale systems.

This experience ensures that candidates can adapt quickly to Cell C’s customer service standards and operational systems.
