Job Purpose:

  • To provide practical workplace training for Fitter & Turner students.
  • To help learners apply theoretical engineering knowledge in real-life situations.
  • To develop technical and workplace skills required for a trade qualification.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science (minimum 50%), OR
  • N2 Certificate with relevant subjects:
    • Fitter & Machining Trade Theory
    • Mathematics
    • Engineering Science
    • Engineering Drawing
  • Valid driver’s licence.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Must reside in Diepsloot or Olievenhoutbosch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in practical engineering training and activities.
  • Assist with technical tasks related to fitting and machining.
  • Attend training sessions at the PPC Technical Skills Centre (Mahikeng).
  • Apply theoretical knowledge to real workplace tasks.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors.
  • Provide good customer service when required.
  • Be willing to work overtime when necessary.
  • Assist with additional duties as assigned.
