About the Opportunity
Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) is offering an exciting In-Service Trainee: Manufacturing Planning opportunity for students who require practical workplace experience to complete their qualification in Operations Management.
This programme provides valuable hands-on industry exposure within a world-class manufacturing environment, allowing students to apply the theoretical knowledge gained during their studies while developing practical skills in manufacturing planning, warehouse operations, and logistics.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Team Leader and gain experience in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
During the programme, the successful trainee will:
- Gain practical experience in manufacturing planning.
- Support manufacturing, warehouse, and logistics operations.
- Assist with planning and operational activities.
- Apply theoretical knowledge to practical business situations.
- Work with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Learn and utilise store-related ERP systems.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvements.
- Support the team in achieving operational objectives.
- Work in accordance with company quality and safety standards.
- Develop decision-making and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy (minimum 40%).
- Two South African languages passed with at least 40%.
- Be studying towards an Operations Management qualification.
- Have completed all theoretical modules and require practical workplace exposure to complete the qualification.
- Be willing to complete In-Service/Experiential Training.
- Have not previously completed an In-Service Trainee Programme with another company.
- Be a South African citizen.
- Be unemployed at the time of appointment.
- Be between 18 and 35 years of age.
- Provide an official Work Integrated Learning (WIL)/Workplace Experience letter from their tertiary institution.
Knowledge and Skills
Successful candidates should have:
Knowledge
- Exposure to manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics environments (advantageous).
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Basic knowledge of ERP systems (advantageous).
