Minimum Requirements
Essential:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Minimum of 3 years’ delivery driving experience
- Valid driver’s license with PDP
- Good time management skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Honest, reliable, and demonstrates integrity
- Sober habits
- Clear criminal record
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct vehicle inspections before departure and upon return
- Submit inspection checklists weekly to the Dispatch Supervisor
- Report any vehicle faults immediately before starting a trip
- Verify parcels with the supervisor before loading
- Follow dispatch loading procedures strictly
- Deliver goods according to assigned routes and schedules
- Ensure proper completion of Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation
- Adhere to RFC (Return for Credit) procedures
- Return all delivery documents and trip sheets accurately
- Ensure all assigned documentation is signed and accounted for
- Take responsibility for outstanding or missing trip sheets
- Avoid unauthorized stock transfers between customer locations
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any issues promptly
- Communicate any delivery challenges or issues to the Dispatch Supervisor
