Purpose of the Role

  • Provide efficient and effective procurement of goods and services
  • Focus on low-value, low-risk procurement processes
  • Ensure procurement activities are completed on time and within budget
  • Adhere strictly to procurement policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Support organisational operations through structured sourcing processes

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute sourcing and procurement processes in line with company procedures
  • Purchase goods and services while managing procurement administration
  • Handle tender processes, including dual adjudication where required
  • Manage contracts and purchase orders according to policies and standards
  • Identify risks or challenges and consult supervisors for solutions
  • Negotiate agreements with suppliers to meet organisational needs
  • Coordinate procurement activities to ensure smooth operations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams
  • Analyse procurement data and provide insights independently
  • Ensure compliance with governance and procurement regulations

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

  • National Diploma or National N Diploma in one of the following:
    • Transport
    • Commerce
    • Logistics
    • Supply Chain Management
  • Qualification must be at NQF Level 6 with a minimum of 240 credits

Experience

  • No prior work experience required
  • Comprehensive training will be provided during the internship
