TWK Agri is seeking a reliable and hardworking General Worker to join its Timber division in Piet Retief. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on, practical work and are comfortable working outdoors in a nursery environment.
As a General Worker, you will support daily operations by maintaining the nursery, assisting with repairs, operating machinery, and ensuring that all work areas remain clean and functional. This position plays an important role in supporting timber production and maintaining high operational standards.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- Perform grass cutting and general garden maintenance
- Clean and maintain nursery areas, pathways, and workspaces
- Safely apply herbicides, pesticides, and other chemicals
- Repair and maintain irrigation systems, pipes, and infrastructure
- Operate tractors and basic maintenance equipment
- Assist with loading and offloading materials and supplies
- Carry out general maintenance and upkeep tasks
- Ensure all tools and equipment are cleaned, stored, and handled properly
✅ Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Previous experience in manual labour or similar roles
- Tractor driving experience
- Basic knowledge of irrigation systems and maintenance work
- Ability to safely handle agricultural chemicals
- Physically fit and able to perform demanding tasks
- Valid Code 10 driver’s license
- Strong reliability, punctuality, and work ethic
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
