Job Summary
The Merchandiser will play a vital role in ensuring an exceptional in-store experience for customers. This position involves assisting clients with product selection, maintaining attractive and effective product displays, and ensuring that the store environment remains neat, organised, and welcoming at all times. The role also includes responsibilities related to stock control, monthly stock counts, and other operational duties as assigned by store management.
This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys working with people, has an eye for detail, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
- Assisting and advising customers in-store in a professional and friendly manner
- Ensuring all stock is correctly merchandised according to company standards
- Maintaining clean, organised, and visually appealing product displays
- Keeping shelves fully stocked and rotating products where necessary
- Monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages or discrepancies
- Participating in monthly stock counts and assisting with stock control processes
- Supporting general store operations and daily retail activities
- Adhering to company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Carrying out additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management
Qualifications and Skills
To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following minimum requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12 qualification
- Basic computer literacy
- Knowledge of hardware products or similar stock typically sold in TWK retail stores
- Good marketing and product presentation skills
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work under pressure
- Valid driver’s license (Code 08)
- Ability to communicate effectively in both Afrikaans and English
