KFC restaurants across South Africa are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to fill the following roles:
- Cleaners – Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the restaurant, kitchen, and dining areas.

KFC Learnership Program 2026 – Full Details

Work Schedule: 6 shifts per week, 8 hours per shift
Salary: Market-related, with potential bonuses

Program Structure:
- 4 months theoretical training
- 8 months practical work experience in a KFC restaurant
This learnership is designed to give participants both classroom-based learning and real-world job experience. Trainees will receive guidance from experienced managers and trainers while developing vital skills for a future in the hospitality industry.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for the KFC Learnership or an entry-level job, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be between 18 and 27 years old
- Possess a Grade 12 / Matric certificate with Maths Literacy
- Have a good command of the English language
- 6 months of work experience (for certain positions – not always required)
- Be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
- Be a South African citizen with a valid ID document
No prior fast-food or restaurant experience is required. KFC will provide free training, a uniform, and ongoing support throughout the program.
Key Responsibilities
As a KFC team member or learnership participant, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing and cooking food orders quickly and accurately
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in all work areas
- Ensuring all food meets KFC’s quality and freshness standards
- Assisting with stock control and kitchen organization
- Providing excellent customer service and handling transactions efficiently
- Supporting your team members to create a smooth and friendly restaurant environment
- Following safety and closing procedures carefully
