Role Purpose
The Shop Assistant / Cashier plays a vital role in providing a positive shopping experience for customers by ensuring smooth operations at the point of sale (POS), maintaining merchandising standards, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
As a Shop Assistant / Cashier, your daily duties will include:
- Point of Sale Operations
- Efficiently scan and process purchases while maintaining high levels of accuracy.
- Handle cash, cards, and Clicks ClubCard rewards with attention to security and customer satisfaction.
- Customer Service
- Act as a brand ambassador, providing a welcoming and helpful experience for every customer.
- Resolve customer queries or refer them to relevant team members promptly and professionally.
- ClubCard Promotion
- Promote and register new ClubCard members to help the store reach participation targets.
- Encourage customer engagement with ongoing promotions and benefits.
- Merchandising & Store Standards
- Assist with shelf displays and store housekeeping according to visual merchandising standards.
- Ensure shelves are stocked and products are presented attractively and accessibly.
- Product Knowledge
- Stay up to date with product ranges, promotions, and store events to offer accurate information to customers.
