Minimum Requirements

Essential:

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Computer literacy
  • Strong numerical skills
  • Willingness to work retail hours

Advantageous:

  • Previous experience in receiving, retail, or FMCG environments

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately verify, scan, and capture all goods received according to company policies
  • Ensure all deliveries match invoices in terms of quantity, quality, and condition
  • Receive and process warehouse goods and invoices following standard operating procedures
  • Return unordered or damaged goods and complete credit notes correctly
  • Assist the Receiving Manager with logging warehouse claims
  • Maintain an efficient flow of stock by ensuring deliveries are processed and sent to the floor on the same day
  • Process returns to suppliers in line with company procedures
  • Ensure proper control and security of the receiving area
  • Maintain storerooms in a clean, organized, and acceptable condition
  • Assist with managing high-risk stock items

Competencies

Essential Skills:

  • Knowledge of receiving procedures and administration
  • Strong English communication skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with suppliers, staff, and management
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good time management
  • Physical ability to lift heavy items (20kg or more)

Advantageous:

  • Bilingual communication skills
  • Knowledge of stock rotation systems
