Rand Water, in collaboration with Govan Mbeki Local Municipality, is inviting suitably qualified and unemployed graduates to apply for the 2026 Graduate Internship Programme. This programme offers a three-year fixed-term contract designed to provide graduates with structured workplace training, professional development, and practical exposure within the water and infrastructure sector in South Africa.

4. Construction Project Management Internship (1 Position)
This internship is suitable for graduates who hold a BSc in Construction Management with an Honours or Master’s qualification. The programme focuses on the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects within the water and infrastructure sector.
Interns may assist with project scheduling, budgeting, contractor coordination, and site management activities while gaining experience in construction project delivery.
5. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Internship (1 Position)
Graduates with a BSc in Geomatics, Geo-Informatics, or a related Honours or Master’s qualification are encouraged to apply for this opportunity.

6. Natural Science Internship (1 Position)

Minimum Requirements
To qualify for the Rand Water Graduate Internship Programme, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a relevant degree in the specified discipline from an accredited university
- Be unemployed at the time of application
- Be a South African citizen with a valid South African ID
- Be under the age of 35 years, aligned with the National Skills Development Strategy (NSDS III)
- Possess an academic record aligned with the requirements for professional registration with relevant statutory councils such as ECSA, SACNASP, SACPLAN, SAGC, or SACPCMP
- Registration as a candidate professional with the relevant council will be considered an advantage
- A valid Code 08 driver’s licence may be beneficial but is not mandatory
